Auto-Association

Outsprint automatically links contacts to companies based on email domains. This saves you the manual step of associating each contact with their company.

Auto-association

How It Works

  1. You create (or import) a contact with an email like sarah@acme.com
  2. Outsprint extracts the domain: acme.com
  3. It checks if any company has acme.com as its domain
  4. If a match is found, the contact is automatically associated with that company

This happens on every contact creation -- whether manual, via import, API, or form submission.

Setting Up Auto-Association

For auto-association to work, your company records need a domain value. Set this when creating a company:

You
Create a company called Acme Corp with domain acme.com
Outsprint AI
Created Acme Corp. Any new contacts with @acme.com emails will be automatically linked.

What Happens Without a Match

If no company has a matching domain, the contact is created without a company association. A company is not auto-created -- you need to create it manually or through import.

You can always associate a contact with a company later:

You
Associate Sarah Chen with Acme Corp
Outsprint AI
Sarah Chen is now associated with Acme Corp.

Pro Tip

When importing contacts in bulk, create your company records first with domains set. Then when you import contacts, they'll be automatically linked to the right companies.
