Company Hierarchy¶
Outsprint supports parent-child relationships between companies. This is useful for tracking subsidiaries, regional offices, or divisions within a larger organization.
How It Works¶
Each company can have:
- One parent company -- The organization it belongs to
- Multiple child companies -- Subsidiaries or divisions
The hierarchy is one level deep: a parent can have children, but children cannot have their own children.
Setting Up Hierarchy¶
When creating or editing a company, use the Parent company field to search for and select an existing company.

Viewing Hierarchy¶
In the company detail view, the Parent / Child panel shows:
- The parent company (clickable link)
- All subsidiaries (clickable links)
Click any company name to navigate to that record.
Reporting Across Subsidiaries¶
You can ask the AI for aggregated data across a company hierarchy:

Note
The hierarchy is flat (one parent level). For complex multi-level organizational structures, use tags or custom properties to categorize companies.
