Merging Companies

When you have duplicate company records, merge them into a single record. All contacts, deals, tickets, and activities are combined.

How to Merge

Ask the AI to merge two companies:

You
Merge "Acme Corp" and "Acme Corporation" -- they're the same company
Outsprint AI
I'll show you a merge preview so you can confirm.

Merge Preview

Before merging, you see a side-by-side comparison:

  • Primary record (kept) -- The company that survives
  • Secondary record (merged) -- The company that will be absorbed
  • Merged result -- Preview of the combined record

The preview shows:

  • Combined contact count
  • Combined deal count and total value
  • Combined ticket count
  • How field conflicts are resolved (primary takes priority)

What Gets Merged

When you confirm:

  • All contacts from the secondary company move to the primary
  • All deals are reassigned to the primary company
  • All tickets are transferred
  • All activities are combined into the primary's timeline
  • The secondary company is soft-deleted
  • The merge is logged in the audit log

Choosing the Primary

Select the company with the most complete data as the primary. Its name, domain, and other fields take priority in the merged result. Missing fields are filled from the secondary.

Warning

Company merging cannot be undone. Review the merge preview carefully to ensure you've selected the correct primary record.
