Contact Associations¶
Contacts in Outsprint are linked to other records -- companies, deals, tickets, and lists. These associations give you a complete view of each contact's relationships.
Company Association¶
Every contact can be linked to one company. The association is set in two ways:
- Manual -- Choose a company when creating or editing a contact
- Automatic -- When you create a contact with an email like
sarah@acme.com, Outsprint checks if a company with the domainacme.comexists and links them automatically
Deal Association¶
Contacts can be associated with multiple deals. Each contact on a deal has a role that describes their position in the buying process:
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Decision Maker | Final authority on the purchase |
| Influencer | Influences the decision |
| Champion | Internal advocate for your product |
| Blocker | Opposing the deal |
| End User | Will use the product |
Roles are displayed as badges next to contact names on deal records.
Ticket Association¶
When a contact submits a support ticket, they are automatically linked. You can view all of a contact's tickets in their detail view.
List Membership¶
Contacts can belong to static or dynamic lists. List memberships are visible in the contact's detail view under the Associations section.
Viewing Associations¶
The contact card and detail view show all associations at a glance:
- Company with a clickable link
- Open deals with total value
- Open tickets count
- List memberships
Pro Tip
Ask the AI about associations: "Which deals is Sarah Chen involved in?" or "What company does Mike Park belong to?"
