Enrolling Contacts

Add contacts to your sequence to start sending them the automated email cadence.

Sequence enrollment

Enroll via Chat

The quickest way to enroll a contact is through the chat.

Enroll from a Contact

  1. Open the contact's detail view
  2. Click the More actions menu
  3. Select Enroll in sequence
  4. Choose the sequence from the dropdown
  5. Confirm enrollment

Bulk Enrollment

You can enroll multiple contacts at once from any contacts table:

  1. Select the contacts you want to enroll using the checkboxes
  2. Click Enroll in sequence from the bulk actions bar
  3. Choose the target sequence
  4. Confirm the enrollment

You can also enroll entire lists:

Enrollment Guards

Outsprint prevents problematic enrollments:

  • A contact cannot be enrolled in the same sequence twice simultaneously
  • Contacts who have opted out of email cannot be enrolled
  • You must have a connected email account to enroll contacts
  • If a contact is already in another active sequence, you see a warning and can choose whether to proceed

Warning

Make sure contacts have valid email addresses before enrolling them. Bounced emails may negatively affect your sender reputation.

Unenroll a Contact

Contacts are automatically unenrolled when they reply, bounce, or unsubscribe. You can also manually unenroll:
