Create a Static List

A static list starts empty and you add contacts manually.

Add Contacts to a Static List

You can add contacts in several ways:

  • Chat -- "Add Sarah Chen to Q1 Outreach Targets"
  • Bulk action -- Select contacts from a table and click Add to list
  • Contact detail -- Click Add to list on any contact's profile
  • Import -- When importing contacts, choose a list to add them to
  • Workflow -- A workflow action can automatically add contacts to lists

Remove Contacts from a Static List

  • Chat -- "Remove Sarah from Q1 Outreach Targets"
  • List view -- Select contacts and click Remove from list

Create a Dynamic List

A dynamic list uses filter criteria to automatically include matching contacts.

Dynamic List Filters

Dynamic lists use the same filter operators as search:

  • Combine multiple conditions with AND (all must match) or OR (any can match)
  • Filter on any standard or custom property
  • Preview matching contacts before saving

Edit a List

Click Edit on any list to:

  • Rename the list
  • Update the description
  • Modify filter criteria (dynamic lists)
  • Change the combination logic (AND/OR)

Pro Tip

Start with a dynamic list and refine the filters until the contact count looks right. Use the preview to verify before saving.
