Task Priorities

Set priority levels on tasks to focus on what matters most and organize your work effectively.

Task priorities

Priority Levels

Every task has one of three priority levels:

Priority When to use
High Time-sensitive or critical follow-ups
Medium Standard tasks with a normal deadline
Low Nice-to-have items with flexible timing

Set Priority

You can set priority when creating a task or update it later:

You
Create a high priority task to send the proposal to Acme by end of day
Outsprint AI
Created high priority task "Send proposal to Acme" due today.

Task Views

The /tasks command groups your tasks by urgency:

  1. Overdue -- Past due date, shown at the top
  2. Today -- Due today
  3. Upcoming -- Due in the future

Within each group, tasks are sorted by priority (High first, then Medium, then Low).

Complete a Task

Mark a task as done from the task list or through chat:

You
Complete the "Send proposal to Acme" task
Outsprint AI
Task "Send proposal to Acme" marked as completed.

Completed tasks are recorded with a timestamp and appear in the timeline of associated records.

Reschedule a Task

If you cannot complete a task on time, reschedule it:

You
Reschedule the Sarah follow-up to Monday
Outsprint AI
Task "Follow up with Sarah Chen" rescheduled to Monday.

Pro Tip

Review your task list at the start of each day. Reschedule anything that cannot realistically be done today rather than letting it go overdue.
