Tags¶
Tags are lightweight, colored labels you can apply to any CRM record for flexible categorization and filtering.
How Tags Work¶
Tags are simple labels like "Enterprise," "Decision Maker," or "West Coast." Apply them to contacts, companies, deals, or tickets to create custom groupings beyond standard fields.
Tags appear as colored pills on record cards and detail views.
Adding Tags¶
Via Chat¶
If a tag does not exist yet, Outsprint creates it automatically and confirms the creation.
Via the UI¶
Click the + button in the tags section of any record. An autocomplete dropdown shows existing tags. Type to filter or create a new tag with a color picker.
Removing Tags¶
Click the x on a tag pill to remove it from a record. This removes the association, not the tag itself.
Filtering by Tags¶
Tags are available as filters everywhere:
/contacts #enterprise-- Filter contacts by tag via slash commands- "Show me all contacts tagged Enterprise" -- Natural language search
- Table filter panel -- Select tags as a filter criterion
Combine tags with AND or OR logic:
- "Contacts tagged Enterprise AND Decision Maker" -- Both tags required
- "Contacts tagged Enterprise OR Mid-Market" -- Either tag matches
Tag Management¶
Admins can manage tags across the organization:

| Rename | Changes the name on all records using the tag |
| Change color | Updates the color everywhere |
| Delete | Removes the tag from all records (with confirmation) |
| Merge | Combine two tags into one (e.g., "Ent" and "Enterprise") |
Color Palette¶
Tags come with a predefined color palette: Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Purple, Pink, Orange, and Gray. Custom hex colors are also supported.
Pro Tip
Use tags for attributes that don't fit into standard fields. Tags are flexible and easy to create, making them perfect for ad-hoc categorization.
